Skills to Performance is defined as education designed to drive learning outcomes based on the performance expectations defined by industry while recognizing the varying skill levels of students and architecting paths for them to achieve success. The Skills to Performance Initiative will focus on several areas:

  • Degree Programs — identifying the programs that will be available in the new technology and Skills to Performance Model.
  • Training — Introduce Faculty / Staff to a skills-to-performance model designed to meet and support student needs as they pursue their educational goals.
  • Technology (Personalized for each learner to achieve real world results) — The University has signed an agreement with D2L (Desire to Learn) to utilize their Brightspace integrated learning platform (in addition to Blackboard) as our new LMS (Learning Management Software).
