Brigham Young University–Idaho, referred to sometimes as BYU–Idaho or BYU–I, is a private university located in Rexburg, Idaho. The university was founded in 1888 and is owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). It transitioned from a junior college to a four-year institution in 2001, and is known for the greater part of its history as Ricks College.

BYU-Idaho offers university programs in liberal arts including the sciencesengineeringagriculturemanagement, and performing arts.

The university is organized into 33 departments within six colleges. Its focus is on undergraduate education as it hosts 26 certificate, 20 associate and over 87 bachelor's degree programs.
