The Bachelor of Music in Music Education in Arts is offered by University of Arizona.

The major in music education prepares students to teach music in public elementary and secondary schools. Majors focus on voice or instrumental education. Students study most aspects of music (e.g. individual and ensemble performance) described in the performance major.

They also study techniques and concepts of music education. Students must audition before taking advanced courses; they must also be admitted to the College of Education.

The knowledge gained in the Music Education major in the Instrumental concentration of pedagogy, music history, and a wide variety of instrument techniques and materials provides a specialized career foundation.
