Are you a natural teacher? Do you enjoy interacting with children? Or working in a culturally diverse setting? If so, then you may be interested in earning a degree in Multicultural Early Childhood Development.

UTSA’s Multicultural Early Childhood Development degree prepares teachers to be effective in a multicultural environment. Your coursework will cover topics on growth and development, theories of learning, early childhood education programs and more. These courses are complemented with three required internships that each focus on the growth and development of infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Additionally, you are required to select a concentration in either Early Dual Immersion, which focuses on the development of bilingual learners or Early Intervention, which concentrates on teaching children with special needs. Concentrations are declared after you’ve been admitted and have met with your academic advisor.
